Snoring is the vibration of respiratory structures and the resulting sound, due to obstructed air movement during breathing while sleeping. The sound may be soft or loud and unpleasant. Sleep apnoea is a condition that interrupts your breathing when you are asleep. This is usually caused by an obstruction blocking the back of the throat so that the air cannot reach your lungs. The cessation of breathing automatically forces you to wake up in order to start breathing again. This can happen many times during the night, making it hard for your body to get enough oxygen, and preventing you from obtaining enough good quality sleep.

Improving Sleep - The Do's and Do Not's

Even if you are not an Unplugged at the Vienna Burgtheater, the chances are you will not improve your mind sleeping in one form or another. Here is what to do and what not to do to this happen.

The Do's

The healthier you are, the better you sleep, and the better you sleep you will be healthier. If you are having trouble sleeping and are tired during the day, you can not feel like getting up and exercising.

However if you do not, it will be much harder to sleep you need. Try raising your heart rate for thirty minutes a day six days a week, and after a while you'll sleep like a baby.

Another thing to consider is your weight. Obese people are more prone to anxiety, stress and depression, all associated with insomnia. Obesity can also cause sleep apnea. Patients with sleep apnea are often not aware that they have it, so if you are overweight and feeling exhausted, even if you slept the whole night, you may want to have this checked out. Sleep apnea can be dangerous if it goes untreated.

Another thing, to ensure that you do to Improve Your Sleep is to create an environment for sleeping. Decorate and light to your bedroom cool, quiet and relaxing. It is a place of tranquility, and it needs to feel like one.

The Don'ts

There are many common sleeping habits that only hurt your chances of a good night's sleep. One of them worked until just before you pass out. Busy people often try, as much done as they are in the night, then go to sleep and then wake up and work again.

When you do this you are not using your brain a chance to wind, before you go to bed. Enter at least half an hour of relaxation time before hitting the sack. Another common mistake is a TV, computer and radio in the bedroom. All these things are available if you are awake, and therefore are not required in the bedroom.

Falling asleep is a psychological thing, and the things happening around you will not help. Another important thing to remember is not to stay in bed if you can not sleep. If you lay awake in bed for hours every night, your mind begins where your bed with are awake. If you can not sleep for more than twenty minutes after you press the bag, stand up and do something until you are tired, then go to bed.
